House of Deputies Elections
The President and Vice President will be elected for the next three years in the House of Deputies. Each elected official must run every Convention and can only hold office for up to three consecutive terms.

The Deputies of Color and Virginia Theological Seminary recently hosted a 90-minute Zoom forum for the nominees. The Very Rev. Ian Markham, the seminary’s dean, moderated the forum, which was a platform for open discussions and the sharing of ideas.

The president and vice president must be from different orders (clergy or lay), ensuring balanced representation. The final slate of nominees will not be official until the president has been elected. Any deputy can seek election as president or vice president after clearing a background check. Declarations may come in any time before the election date of June 25th.
